At these places it&#8217;s not usually served on the side but you could probably request more. The conveyor belt was on but not being used. On a slow day at lunch, most people are ordering the lunch set (sushi selection on a wood plank or sushi bowl &lt;sashimi slices served on a bed of rice&gt;). I chose ala carte to get my favorites. The belt wasn&#8217;t being used at this time but I&#8217;ve been here at dinner time\u00a0when the belt was running and you could either pick up a plate as it goes by or ask for special request if you don&#8217;t see what you want. I wanted to share this experience because I think the set up at each seat at\u00a0the counter is genius and such a good way to have people served quickly. There are also versions with ipads at your seat to order and some with bullet trains to deliver it from the kitchen.
